Come to the Winnetka Children's Fair on June 12th and 13th, 2009

Children of all ages will flock to Winnetka's Village Green for the 63rd annual Winnetka Children's Fair. The festivities take place Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Village Green, located between Elm Street and Oak Street, east of Green Bay Road.

Everyone is welcome and admission to the fair grounds is free. Tickets for rides, games and performances will be sold at the Fair.

This year promises to be great fun for preschoolers through preteens with rides, arcade games, and arts and crafts. Preschoolers will revel in Kiddieland's expanded play area where everyone wins! Elementary school children will enjoy our extensive arcade areas, new attractions like the High Striker and Kiddiepillar inflatable and old favorites including Cliff Hanger, Pony Rides, Giant Slides and more!

Winnetka Community Nursery School's Board of Directors coordinates nearly 1,000 volunteers who work side by side to give children an unforgettable experience.

Winnetka Children's Fair

For more than 60 years, the Winnetka Children's Fair has been a tradition of community and family fun, fellowship and participation. For area children, The Fair has kicked off the summer with an end-of-school celebration complete with rides, craft booths, games of chance and even a children's theatre.

The Fair is coordinated by the 40-member Board of Directors of the Winnetka Community Nursery School. Staffing and community spirit are provided by more than 1,000 area volunteers who donate their time, energy and enthusiasm. Thousands from Winnetka and neighboring North Shore communities come to the village Green to enjoy the Fair each year.

As part of its community outreach, the Nursery School also sponsors a group of children to attend the Fair.

Bring the whole family and join us on the Winnetka Village Green for home-baked goods, hot dogs, sno-cones, popcorn and cotton candy. Ride the rides, and join your children in the arcades as they test their skill where everyone's a winner. See your children transformed into puppies, pirates or princesses at the face-painting booth. Help them make a necklace or t-shirt. Take them on a trip (or two) to the Candy Castle.
